<p>Basically, in Preferences, you switch off &#8220;WYSIWYG font and style menus&#8221;. You&#8217;ll find it makes a helluva difference. If anyone has any similar clues to cure Excel and Powerpoint I&#8217;d be thrilled to hear them.</p>
